What Orrery is

Orrery takes a decision you’re weighing, computes where the Moon and planets actually are, applies a fixed set of traditional electional rules to them, and scores the next seven days. The astronomy is real: positions come from NASA/JPL ephemeris data, and every condition Orrery names is one it computed. The written guidance can only describe those computed conditions — it is checked against them, and anything it can’t trace is thrown away. Which rules, exactly, and which of astrology’s several conventions Orrery follows, is set out in Method — including the ones it deliberately leaves out.

What Orrery isn’t

Orrery is not advice, and the rules it applies are astrological, not scientific. There is no evidence that the position of the Moon has any bearing on whether your pitch lands. Orrery is honest about what it computes; that is a different claim from the computation meaning anything. Treat it as a structured prompt for your own judgement — a reason to pause before sending, not a reason to send.

It is not legal, financial, medical, or professional advice of any kind. Do not use it to make a decision you cannot afford to get wrong, and do not use it instead of a person qualified to advise you. No promises about uptime or accuracy

Orrery is provided as-is, with no warranty of any kind. It is an experiment, run by one person, and it may be wrong, unavailable, or discontinued without notice. If it shuts down, your data is deleted — see Privacy.

Fair use

Don’t attack it, don’t script it, and don’t use it to compute outlooks for other people without their say-so. The Orrery app is free; the limits on it exist because computing an outlook costs real money. The concierge Founding Moment Charter is a separate paid service with its own terms — nothing on this page creates an entitlement to it.
